Intro to Task Dashboard
In this video, I’ll walk you through how to effectively use the Task Dashboard in Unify. We’ll cover three main perspectives: how to use the dashboard as a manager, how to navigate it as a sales rep, and how to reply to emails directly from within the dashboard.
Let’s start with how managers can use the dashboard. If you’re a growth lead or sales manager automating outbound and assigning manual steps to your reps, the Task Dashboard gives you full visibility into how your team is working through tasks. From the main interface, you can access all tasks across the team using the “All Tasks” tab, or view completed items in the “Done” tab. You can also group or filter tasks by a number of dimensions—such as priority level, task type, or user. For example, you can drill down into a specific rep’s workload, like Charlie’s, and see exactly what tasks are outstanding. You can even filter further to view only a specific task type—like just cold calls—or isolate tasks tied to particular sequences. This flexibility lets managers track performance, ensure nothing falls through the cracks, and help reps prioritize what matters most.
Now let’s shift to the sales rep’s view. Once logged in, a rep should filter the dashboard to show only tasks assigned to them. For instance, if Charlie is working through his tasks, he can select his name in the assignee filter and start tackling tasks top to bottom. Tasks can be completed one by one simply by clicking on them, or navigated sequentially using the arrows. But many reps find it more efficient to batch tasks by type. For example, Charlie might want to handle all his cold calls first. He can filter the dashboard by phone call tasks and, while in that focused calling mindset, work through them all. On each task, the AI Research tab on the left provides contextual insights—like company updates or recent news—so reps can personalize their outreach and make their calls more effective. After calls, Charlie might switch to manual emails. Here too, the AI insights panel helps craft thoughtful, relevant messages. This batching method helps reps stay focused and maximize productivity throughout their day.
Finally, let’s look at how to handle replies from within the Task Dashboard. Some tasks are automatically generated when a prospect replies to an email—these appear as “Reply to Email” tasks. You can filter for this task type specifically. On the right-hand side of the dashboard, icons help you quickly understand the sentiment of the reply. A green thumbs-up icon indicates a positive response, and a phone icon shows that the person is open to meeting. Clicking on the task reveals the full thread, including the most recent reply from the prospect. You can then respond directly within the task window. Simply type your response and click “Send Now” to deliver the email in real time.
And that’s a complete walkthrough of the Task Dashboard. Whether you’re managing a team or working through your personal touchpoints, the dashboard gives you everything you need to stay organized, move fast, and follow up with precision..
