How to Configure Your Sending Times

Intro to Sending Time Configuration
Configuring your email sending schedule in Unify ensures that your outbound messages reach prospects at the most effective times, leading to higher open rates and better engagement. With just a few quick adjustments, you can align email delivery with your team’s business hours and the time zones of your target audience. This setup also gives you the flexibility to avoid non-optimal windows, such as early mornings, late evenings, or holidays, so that your outreach feels timely and professional.
To begin, log into your Unify instance and navigate to Settings in the left-hand sidebar. From there, click on the Sequences Settings tab and select Send Schedules from the top navigation menu. This is where you’ll define your team’s delivery hours, confirm your time zone, and manage holiday exclusions.
Start by ensuring your time zone is accurate at the top of the send schedule section. This is especially important for teams that are distributed across regions or targeting accounts in specific geographies. For instance, if your team operates out of Los Angeles, setting the time zone to Pacific Time (PT) ensures that all delays and scheduled email steps are synchronized to local business hours.
Next, review and customize your delivery hours. Unify may pre-fill a standard window like 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but you can tailor this range to your outreach cadence. West Coast teams might prefer an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM window, while East Coast or EMEA-focused teams might adjust accordingly. The key is to avoid sending emails during off-hours that could lower your chances of being read or engaged with. Once these hours are defined, the schedule will automatically apply to any sequence configured to follow this send window.
To further optimize delivery, scroll down to the Holidays section and activate the setting to skip U.S.-based holidays. This prevents emails from being sent on days when prospects are less likely to check their inbox, maintaining both timing sensitivity and brand professionalism.
After finalizing your time zone, delivery hours, and holiday preferences, click Update to save your settings. From that point forward, all of your sequences will adhere to this smart, customized send schedule—ensuring your outbound communication happens at the right time, every time.
