Find problem-aware accounts
Companies saying out loud, in posts, job ads, forums and reviews, that they have the problem you solve. Unify's Infinity Signal watches for them so the first line can quote it.
The conversation
Sample accounts and numbers, for illustrationYouWatch for companies in our ICP that have publicly described a problem with routing support tickets between teams, in job ads, posts, forum threads or reviews in the last 30 days, show me the mention and where it came from, find the person who raised it or the role that owns it, and draft a first line that refers to what they said.
4 checks · Infinity Signal, web research, contact data and CRM
- The Infinity Signal built a research plan from the problem description and searched job boards, posts, forum threads, reviews and news for the last 30 days.
- Each mention was matched to a company and checked against the ICP; the agent’s reasoning is attached to every match.
- Found the person who raised it, or the role that owns the process, through the contact waterfall, and removed customers and open deals.
Nineteen companies in your ICP described the routing problem publicly in the last 30 days. Eleven in job ads, five in posts or forum threads, three in reviews of a tool they use.
- 3 days agoNorthwind Labs · job ad"Own the handoff between tier one and engineering; today tickets bounce between three queues." Support Operations Manager role. Hiring manager: Dana Holt.
- 8 days agoBrightpath · community postHead of Support asked a forum how others route tickets across regions without a shared queue. Author: Elena Marsh.
- 12 days agoMerridian Systems · review of their current toolThree stars. "Routing rules break every time we add a team." Author is a support lead; name not public.
- 21 days agoHalden Robotics · conference talk abstractA talk on scaling support across plants, listing ticket routing as the unsolved part. Speaker: Tara Quinn.
Each mention is a dated public passage with a source. That the company will act on it is a reading. The agent’s reasoning is attached so a weak match can be dismissed.
YouSort them by how clearly they said it, and who I should write to at each.
Eleven said it in their own words, in a job ad or a post. Eight implied it, through a review or a talk. The person is the author where the author is public, otherwise the role that owns routing.
The job ad names the problem and the three queues. Dana is the hiring manager and the person the role reports to.
She asked the question herself, in public, with detail about regions.
The review is anonymous. The contact is the Head of Support, Nils Berg, who owns the process.
A talk abstract, not a complaint. Open on the talk, not on a problem she has not stated.
YouNarrow it to the job ads: what does each ad say, and who is the hiring manager?
Eleven of the nineteen said it in a job ad. Here are four, with the passage and the hiring manager found through the contact waterfall.
| Company | Role posted | What the ad says | Hiring manager |
|---|---|---|---|
| Northwind Labs | Support Operations Manager | "Today tickets bounce between three queues." | Dana Holt |
| Lumen Freight | Support Systems Analyst | "Rebuild escalation paths between dispatch and billing support." | Tom Ekwe · Director of Support |
| Calderon Health | Tier 2 Team Lead | "Reduce misrouted tickets, currently one in five." | Priya Nair · Head of Customer Care |
| Fernhill Home | CX Operations Lead | "Own routing rules across chat, email and returns." | Ines Varga · Head of CX |
The ad is quoted as written, and the first line asks what the new hire is meant to change.
YouAnd the reviews and forum threads: what exactly did they say about routing in the tool they use now?
Eight of the nineteen came from posts, forum threads or reviews. The posts are signed and the reviews are not, which changes who the note goes to.
- Posts and forum threads · 5
- Elena Marsh at Brightpath asked how others route tickets across regions without a shared queue, and a support manager at Halcyon wrote that their rules "only work until someone renames a team". Both are public and signed, so the note can refer to the thread.
- Reviews · 3
- Merridian’s reviewer wrote "Routing rules break every time we add a team", and the other two describe tickets reassigned by hand after hours. All three are anonymous, so the note goes to the Head of Support and speaks about routing, not the review.
YouDraft the first lines and keep the watch running.
Nineteen drafts are with their owners, each opening on the mention. The Infinity Signal keeps watching and adds new mentions as it finds them.
ToDana Holt
SubjectThe three queues in the job ad
Dana, the Support Operations Manager ad mentions tickets bouncing between three queues before engineering sees them. Is the plan for the new hire to redesign the routing, or to staff the handoff as it is? We have seen both work, at different sizes.
Set up
- Nineteen drafts routed to owners Each refers to the mention and asks one question. Quotes only where the passage is public and attributable.
- Watch stays on The Infinity Signal keeps searching for the routing problem across the same sources and adds mentions as they appear, with reasoning.
- Dismissals recorded Matches you dismiss are kept as examples of what to skip, so the watch tightens over time.
A public mention is a fact. The draft refers to it and asks; it does not tell the company what its problem is.
Problem-aware prospecting, with and without Unify
Somebody at the account has already said they have the problem. The question is whether you heard it.
| Without Unify | |
|---|---|
| Reps search for the problem by hand when they remember, in one place at a time | The Infinity Signal watches sites, news, forums, reviews and job ads for the problem you describe, continuously |
| A public complaint is found weeks later, after the account has picked a vendor | Each mention is dated and attached to the account, with the reasoning the agent used shown |
| The mention is a screenshot in a Slack channel with no account attached | The person who raised it, or the role that owns it, comes with a verified email |
| The email says the company probably has the problem, because it cannot quote anyone | The first line quotes or refers to the mention, and asks a question about it |

How it changes by who you sell to
- Software
- Engineering and support leaders describe their problems in job ads and community posts. Ask the agent to watch for the specific complaint your product answers, at companies in your size band, and to quote the sentence it found.
- Financial services
- Banks and insurers rarely post about problems, but they hire for them and answer regulators about them. Ask for job ads and public filings that describe the process you fix, and route the note through the relationship owner.
- Healthcare
- Providers describe their problems in job descriptions and conference talks. Ask the agent to watch for those, to keep patient information out entirely, and to name the department head as the contact.
- Manufacturing
- Plant problems surface in trade press, hiring and supplier reviews. Ask for mentions of the process or downtime you address, by region, and take the operations lead as the contact.
- Professional services
- Firms describe problems in partner posts and in the roles they hire for. Ask for firms hiring for the function you replace or improve, in your practice area, and open on the role itself.

Questions about this workflow
What is the Infinity Signal?
Unify's AI research agent. It builds a research plan for the question you ask, searches websites, news, AI search engines, forums, reviews and job ads, reflects on what it finds, and keeps watching. Its reasoning is shown so you can check how it reached a match.
What counts as a mention?
A dated public passage attached to a company: a job description, a post, a forum thread, a review or an article. Each comes with its source and the agent's reasoning, and matches you dismiss teach it what to skip.
Is a mention a buying signal?
It is awareness of the problem, not a decision to buy. That is why the first line refers to what was said and asks a question, rather than treating the account as in-market.
Can it quote people?
It quotes public passages, such as a job ad or a public post, and refers to private ones without quoting. Reviews and forum posts are quoted only when the author is identifiable as speaking for the company.
