Turn pricing visits into call tasks
Qualify each pricing-page visitor against the ICP, skip the accounts you already work, and route a call task with the pages viewed to the owner the same day.
The conversation
Sample accounts and numbers, for illustrationYouSet up a play that checks each company visiting our pricing page against our ICP, skips customers and open deals, and creates a call task for the account owner with the pages viewed attached, routed to whoever owns the account in the CRM.
3 checks · Unify Intent, ICP and CRM
- Resolved pricing-page traffic to company domains through Unify Intent.
- Checked each company against the ICP in your company context: segment, size and stack.
- Matched each to a CRM account for ownership, customer status and open opportunities.
The play is drafted. Before turning it on, I ran it over the last seven days to show what it would have done. Nine companies visited pricing; four were customers, and the other five are below.
- Mon 09:12Northwind LabsPricing, then security and integrations. Fits the ICP. Owner in Salesforce: Ana.
- Mon 14:40Calderon Health ITPricing, once. A services firm, outside the ICP as defined.
- Tue 11:05Merridian SystemsPricing twice and the customer stories. Fits the ICP. No account owner.
- Wed 16:20Halden RoboticsPricing. Open opportunity with Marcus, so the play stays out of it.
- Thu 10:02Lumen FreightPricing and the ROI page. Fits the ICP. Owner: Priya.
A company visit says an account looked at pricing. It does not say who looked, or that they intend to buy.
YouShow me how those sort: which become a call task, which wait for an owner, and which are skipped.
Three become a call task: two for their owner today, one as soon as it has an owner. The rest never reach a rep.
480 people, mid-market software. Pricing, security and integrations attached to the task.
1,200 people, logistics software. Pricing and the ROI page attached.
Fits the ICP and nobody owns it. It waits in the routing list; the task is created for whoever is assigned.
Open opportunity. The visit is added to the deal for Marcus to see; no new task.
Outside the ICP. Kept on a list you can review, not sent to a rep.
Customer visits to pricing go to the account manager view instead.
YouWhat would change if the play only fired on the second pricing visit within seven days?
Over the same week, one task instead of three. Merridian visited pricing twice; Northwind and Lumen came once each and would wait for a second visit.
| Trigger | Tasks last week | Accounts | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| First visit | 3 | Northwind, Lumen, Merridian | Faster, with more calls on a single look |
| Second visit in 7 days | 1 | Merridian | Fewer and stronger; Northwind and Lumen wait |
The trigger is one setting on the play, left on the first visit for now; qualification, exclusions and owner routing are the same either way.
YouFind the right person to call at each of the three that fit, turn the play on, and show me the tasks.
The play is on. Each task names the person to call, with a number from the contact waterfall, and carries the pages the company viewed.

Set up
- Play enabled Pricing-page visits from companies that fit the ICP become a call task for the account owner, the same day.
- Exclusions applied Customers, open opportunities and accounts outside the ICP never become a task.
- One task per account Repeat visits within seven days update the open task rather than creating a new one.
Route the visit to someone who can act
A pricing visit becomes a call task only when the account fits, and only for the person who owns it.
| Without Unify | |
|---|---|
| Pricing visits stay in an analytics dashboard | Qualifying company visits are matched to CRM accounts as they happen |
| Every visitor looks the same, so resellers and students get the same follow-up as buyers | Each visitor is checked against the ICP first, and only the ones that fit become a task |
| Reps cannot tell whether an account is already being worked | Ownership and exclusion rules run before the task exists, so owned accounts go to their owner |
| Repeated visits create redundant follow-up | Repeat visits update the open task rather than creating another |

How it changes by who you sell to
- Software
- Active trials and open opportunities are the exceptions, and the ICP check keeps resellers out. Ask for the play to skip any company with a trial or an open deal, to qualify the rest on size and stack before a task is made, and to attach the pages viewed.
- Financial services
- Visits resolve to a group, and the task has to reach the right entity's owner. Ask Unify to route by the account entity the visitor belongs to, not the parent.
- Manufacturing
- Pricing visits from a plant address usually precede a capex request. Ask for the task to say which plant the visit came from and to note that a request is likely being written.
- Professional services
- Firms comparison-shop in a week; two visits in seven days is the window. Ask for the task to fire on the second visit, not the first.
- Retail and e-commerce
- Pricing traffic spikes before peak season. Ask for the task to be routed the same day from August through October, and for the head of e-commerce as the contact.
Connect what this workflow uses
Each guide covers the connection, what Unify reads and writes, and what to check before the first run.
Questions about this workflow
How does Unify know who visited the pricing page?
Unify Intent identifies the company behind the visit; ContactOut supplies the contact; Salesforce or HubSpot gives the account owner.
What does the play do?
Creates a call task for the account owner with the pages viewed, and skips accounts with an open deal or a trial.
Can I set how many visits trigger it?
Yes. One visit, or two in a week for markets that comparison-shop, whichever fits.
Is this a one-off or ongoing?
Ongoing. Once set, the play runs on every new visit without anyone checking.
What happens to visitors that do not fit the ICP?
They never become a task. The play keeps them on a list you can review, so a reseller or a student browsing pricing does not turn into a call for the owner, and the owner's queue only holds accounts that could buy.
