Intro to Snippets

Snippets in Unify are reusable text blocks designed to make your email sequences faster to build, easier to manage, and more consistent across your outbound motion. Think of them as modular content inserts—ideal for things like customer stories, postscript sections, and standardized intros or footers. By creating snippets once and using them across many sequences, you save time while keeping your messaging aligned.

To create a snippet, head to the Snippets tab in the Unify sidebar and click “New Snippet.” You’ll see two options: Static Snippet and AI Snippet. In this module, we’ll focus on static snippets—fixed pieces of content that stay the same every time they’re used. For example, you might create a snippet called “Flock Safety Crime Play” that includes a compelling PS section about how Flock Safety uses Unify to detect crime signals and trigger timely outbound. Once saved, the snippet is available to insert into any email sequence.

To use your new snippet, open the sequence you’re working on, choose the email step where you want it added, and click the scissors icon in the lower-right corner of the email editor. This brings up your saved snippets. Select the one you want, and it’ll drop directly into the body of your email. You’ll also see it rendered in the live preview pane so you can confirm the formatting looks right before sending.

You’ve now created and added your first snippet in Unify. Snippets help you scale your messaging while maintaining tone, brand consistency, and relevance. Later in Unify 201, you’ll unlock AI Snippets—dynamic content blocks that adjust in real-time based on persona, company, or behavior—but for now, static snippets are a great way to streamline outbound while reinforcing social proof and trust.
