Intro to Unify 101
Welcome to Unify University. This module—Unify 101—is your official starting point for learning how to navigate and activate the Unify platform. I’m Adara, and I’ll be your guide throughout this journey. I’m excited to show you what’s possible with Unify and how it empowers go-to-market teams to run smarter, more creative outbound strategies with automation and AI.
Unify is an all-in-one system of action built for high-performance GTM teams. It’s the platform that fast-growing companies like Perplexity, Cursor, and Together AI are using to build fully automated outbound engines that book hundreds of meetings every month. Whether you sit on the marketing and growth side focused on lead generation or you’re on the sales side as a BDR or AE working your territory, Unify gives you the infrastructure to drive outbound at scale.
At its core, Unify helps you tap into real-time signals—like website visits, job changes, or UTM tags—and use them to time your outreach perfectly. The platform also lets you run outbound plays not just on warm visitors, but also on cold accounts, territories, event attendees, and more.
There are three core steps to using Unify: first, you define the audiences you want to outbound to; second, you craft the messaging, which lives in sequences; and third, you tie it all together in a play—a fully automated workflow that runs in the background, qualifying leads, prospecting contacts, and sequencing them on your behalf. That’s when the real leverage kicks in and meetings start showing up on your calendar without manual effort.
When you first open the Unify platform, you’ll see several key sections. The Companies tab shows you visitors to your website, their intent scores, and their browsing behavior—giving you insight into who’s active and what pages they’re engaging with. The People tab surfaces individual contact-level activity, helping you pinpoint key decision-makers. Next is Sequences—this is where you build and store your outbound messaging, with full customization options including AI-powered personalization. Then you’ll find Plays, the engine of Unify. The Play Builder lets you stitch together signals, personas, and messaging into fully automated campaigns. You can build workflows for anything from reactivating closed-lost deals to reaching out to new hires at ICP accounts.
Finally, you’ll have access to performance dashboards that show both leading and lagging indicators—so you can measure what’s working, what’s not, and continuously optimize your outbound efforts.
That’s your high-level introduction to Unify. In the rest of the Unify 101 module, we’ll roll up our sleeves and walk through how to build your first personas, define your target audiences, and launch your first outbound play.
