The GDPR Compliance Play

The GDPR Compliance Play
Let’s say you sell software or services that help companies with GDPR compliance. Instead of manually checking company websites to see who’s compliant and who’s not, you can use Unify to build an AI agent that does this at scale—and then automatically outbound to the right people based on what it finds.
We’ll be using Unify, the go-to-market automation platform that lets you automate everything from qualification and prospecting to sequencing and outreach in one unified system.
Start by building your AI agent. Go to the Agents tab and click New Agent. Give it a name like “Is the company GDPR compliant?” and run it on the Company record type. In the prompt, instruct the agent to search online—review the company’s website, look for compliance badges or policy language, and return a True or False value depending on whether the company is GDPR compliant. Optionally, you can return the source text or compliance mention as a string for use in your messaging.
Once your agent is live, test it on a sample company. If it finds a public declaration of GDPR compliance, it will return true; if not, false. You’ll use this result to filter who to message.
Next, define your persona. Since you’re selling to privacy or data stakeholders, create a persona called “Head of Data” and include titles like “Chief Data Officer,” “Data Privacy Manager,” “VP of Data Compliance,” and so on. Unify will suggest similar titles for you to include or exclude to keep your persona definitions tight.
Then write a sequence that references GDPR and positions your offering as a solution. For example, your message might say: “Hi {{first name}}, I saw your company hasn’t publicly declared GDPR compliance—are you looking to accelerate that path this quarter?”
Now it’s time to bring it all together in a Play.
In the Plays section, click Create New Play and start from scratch. Add a trigger node that activates when a company in your territory is added to the audience.
Next, connect your AI agent node. Link it to the “GDPR Compliance” agent and set the condition to qualify only companies where the result is false (i.e., they are not currently compliant). This is your signal to reach out with support.
Now connect a prospecting node. Set it to find up to 3 people at each company matching your Head of Data persona.
After prospecting, insert a loop node to go through each prospect one by one, and then connect your sequencing node. This is where you send your GDPR-specific sequence to every head of data prospect that was identified.
And that’s it. In just a few steps, you’ve created a smart, automated outbound flow thatQualifies companies based on public GDPR compliance, automatically finds the right contact at those companies, and sends them the appropriate sequence—no manual work required.
You can easily adapt this play to other certifications too, like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
