The Job Posting Signal Play uses Unify’s AI agent capabilities to automatically monitor hiring activity at your target accounts and convert those job postings into precise outbound sequences. By detecting when a company is hiring for specific roles—like software engineers—and filtering based on key technologies such as Java, this play allows you to reach out at exactly the right time with messaging tailored to fresh intent.

To begin, create a new AI agent in the Agents tab. Name it something clear like “Is company hiring Java engineers?” and set the record type to “Company.” Define two questions for the agent: first, whether the company is hiring for software engineering roles, and second, whether Java is listed in the job description. Both should return True/False. Once created, you can test the agent on accounts in your territory to confirm that it accurately identifies relevant job postings and technologies.

Next, head to the Plays tab and create a new Play from scratch. Set the trigger to activate when a record enters your predefined audience—typically your territory or target account list. Then add the AI Agent node and configure the qualification criteria: both job-related questions must return True. This ensures only companies actively hiring for engineering roles that include Java move forward in the workflow.

Once qualified, use a Prospecting node to find the right personas at those accounts. For this play, target roles like Director of Engineering, Head of Software, Engineering Manager, or Lead Engineer. You can prospect for a set number of contacts per company and add regional filters if needed. Follow this with a Loop node to process each person one by one, and a Sequence node to send them into the appropriate outreach flow based on their persona.

To make this play run continuously, go into Play Settings and enable repeat processing for the same records. Set your repeat interval—weekly is a strong default—and save. Now your AI agent will monitor job boards and career pages in real time, automatically identifying new opportunities for you to engage qualified prospects with relevant, high-context messaging.

This play is ideal for sellers targeting technical personas at growing companies, especially in DevTools, SaaS, infrastructure, and engineering services. For example, if AWS posts a job for a software engineer that requires Java, the agent will flag it, prospect engineering leaders at AWS, and enroll them in a Java-specific sequence—all without you lifting a finger.
